Shaping a stronger workforce through the National Maritime Skills Network.
Approximately 99% of Australia’s imports and exports by volume are moved by sea, making a skilled maritime workforce essential to the nation's economy and security. The National Maritime Skills Network works with industry and training providers to address current and future maritime workforce needs. Together, we’re building a future‑ready workforce inspired to lead with innovation, collaboration, and world‑class excellence - shaping the future of our nation’s trade, and the world that depends on it. We support capability growth through professional development for trainers and assessors, up‑to‑date industry insights and resources, and continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and assessment.
This website is for prospective maritime learners, employers, trainers and assessors, industry and VET professionals, and features training, career and workforce information, VET professional development activities, a Membership Hub, and digital media resources.
